Supporting Hunter's Candidate

Hey Folks,

Well, I don't know about you all, but I was really happy for Huckabee with his wins in Louisiana and Kansas.

Let us hope and pray that Mike can win or come very close in Maryland and win either Virginia or DC. We need to keep delegates from McCain. We need to make the statement that we do not believe in McCain's positions on immigration, embryonic stem cell research, and campaign finance. The conservatives want a candidate that is a conservative....especially on issues of LIFE and SECURITY here at home. And McCain doesn't have that. But Huck does: he is fervently pro-life on all the aspects (against abortion AND against killing embryos) and is for securing the border and deportation through attrition.

My fellow conservatives, although Huckabee is not the perfect candidate I firmly believe that Huckabee is far superior in terms of conservatism on issues of importance. We need to support Huckabee and more importantly the ISSUES that Hunter fought so hard for.

Conservatives....make a statement and give Huckabee and conservative positions a win on Febuary 12th!

God Bless,

What does the Conservative do Now?

Hey Everyone,

I am saddened now that Mitt Romney has left the race. He had the best shot of beating McCain.

Now I turn to Former Gov. Mike Huckabee. I hope and pray that he is not involved in a plot with McCain. Now, conservatives must rally around the best candidate.

That candidate is Mike Huckabee. We have no other choice. He is not the best, nor will he be. But he is supremely better than John McCain with his conservative credentials.
See: http://election.newsmax.com/dobson_mccain/?s=al&promo_code=4498-1
I know Huckabee is not perfect, as I have spoken about bluntly on this blog.

But without Romney in this race, we have only one choice: Mike Huckabee. I pray that the supporters of Romney will join Huckabee's campaign...and bring him victory in all of the upcoming primaries. We must accomplish this. The future of conservativism in the Republican party depends on it.

The lives of embryos, the security of our borders, the prosecution of our laws, and free speech depend on it.

I urge all conservatives to embrace Mike Huckabee. He is our only remaining hope.

God Bless,

Well...Duncan Hunter's Endorsement

Hey All,

This is the endorsement Duncan Hunter has made. I hope that he made good judgement, as I was teetering between Huckabee and Romney. Now I am leaning more towards Huckabee.

I think that Hunter had no other option, and I don't at all think he made a bad decision. He chose that which was the best of the not-so-good apples. Oh Duncan, I wish you were in the race. I greatly respect Hunter's decision on this matter but am not yet ready to join him on the Huckster bandwagon.

I am leaning towards either Romney or Huckabee right now because I can swallow and manage not to puke. But with Guiliani and McCain it just won't stay down.

God Bless,

The conservative congressman is backing Huckabee.
The conservative congressman is backing Huckabee.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — California Rep. Duncan Hunter, a former presidential candidate, announced Wednesday he is endorsing Mike Huckabee's White House bid.

“I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail,” Hunter said in a statement. “Of the remaining candidates I feel that he is strongly committed to strengthening national defense, constructing the border fence and meeting the challenge of China’s emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of America’s industrial base.

"Along with these issues of national security, border enforcement and protecting the U.S. industrial base, I see another quality of Mike Huckabee’s candidacy that compels my endorsement," he added. "Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity. I saw that character over the last year of campaigning and was greatly impressed. The other Republican candidates have many strengths and I wish them all well."

Something We Can Still Do to Help Duncan Hunter...

Hey All,

There is still something we can do to aid Hunter in his fight for a better America: one that is secure, prosperous, and moral.

He is the honorary chairman of the "Peace Through Strength" Political Action Committee. If you could check out the policies and agenda of this group, you will find it is all the things Hunter stands for (its seems he runs it). If you could stop by at the URL below, join, volunteer, and/or donate money to the cause it would be greatly appreciated.

Though Hunter will not be president this election, I would like to continue supporting this great man's agenda.

A Tragic Day for America....

Hey Everyone,

This is a sad day. I am deeply saddened that Duncan Hunter has dropped out.

I am completely lost as to who to support now. My hopes were high, but I knew they were likely unrealistic.

I will try to compile my very muddled thoughts and come out with out with my endorsement. Right now, I can't see myself endorsing and supporting anyone.

I am not really motivated at all my any of the candidates. Duncan was so motivating, authentic, and right on all the issues. And now I don't have that. I feel that the country and the Republican Party has lost one of its greatest opportunities in its history. I pray that someone can pull us together, motivate us, and truly represent conservatism.

God Bless,

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 19, 2008

We started this campaign a year ago right here, in San Diego Harbor, against the backdrop of American Naval power. We launched a campaign emphasizing a strong national defense, enforceable borders and restoring the industrial base of America.
Today we end this campaign. The Nevada caucuses reflecting only 2% of the vote for me. I ran the campaign exactly the way I wanted to, and at this point not being able to gain traction in conservative states of Nevada and South Carolina, it's time to allow our volunteers and supporters to focus on the campaigns that remain viable.
It's time for me to gear up for 2008's defense bill that will be put together over the coming weeks. There is work to be done in the areas of troop protection and new capabilities to be deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. And over the horizon, the emergence of Communist China as a military super power will require a new emphasis on U.S. capabilities in undersea warfare, space, and long range air-power.
The best way to maintain a new era of peace is for the U.S. to remain strong. Over the coming year I will endeavor to help craft a defense bill that meets the new security challenges.
Since our campaign began over 200,000 additional manufacturing jobs have been lost. 1.8 million jobs have left the U.S. for China. This fracturing of the U.S. industrial base is a long term threat to America. I hope that the remaining candidates will recognize it and address it. As the senior Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, I will seek to address it.
Only hours ago a border patrolman was killed in the California Desert. This tragedy emphasizes more than ever the compelling case for the completion of the border fence. Since I wrote the bill that mandates 854 miles of double border fence only a few miles have been constructed. Over the next year in Congress I will do everything in my power to get that fence built.
Finally, for Lynn and me, the campaign over the last year has shown us this: America is a wonderful country. Our people have great character and goodness, and the meeting of new friends has enriched our lives.
The failure of our campaign to gain traction is mine and mine alone. But we have driven the issues of national security, the border fence, the emergence of China and the need to reverse bad trade policy. Because of that, this campaign has been very worthwhile, and for the Hunter family, a lot of fun.
To our friends and supporters and volunteers: many thanks. And now it's time for me to focus on developing a 2008 defense bill that serves our troops and our nation.
Thanks, and God Bless America.

Congressman JD Hayworth Endorses Hunter

Hey All,

Hunter has gotten another endorsement. It takes this kind of devotion to principle that will get Hunter to victory.

The conventional wisdom tells us that we must vote for the most popular, for the candidate that the media likes and covers the most.

But those like Congressman Hayworth, who put their names on the line and endorse the best candidate instead of the popular one show their true colors.

I want to sincerely thank Mr. Hayworth from the bottom of my heart for his endorsement and I pray that others would also stand on principle and go against conventional wisdom.

God Bless,
Derek Sire

Hunter Gets Yet Another Key Endorsement!

Congressman JD Hayworth, author of Whatever It Takes: Illegal Immigration, Border Security and the War on Terror endorses Hunter!

Help make Congressman Hayworth's endorsement count!

Hayworth bucks the milquetoast trend of the GOP party-establishment to marginalize the immigration issue and tuck it out of the way of the current crop of amnesty candidates.

Instead, he's voting for the last remaining border security hawk in the race: Duncan Hunter.

Congressman Hayworth writes:

"To base a primary vote on 'electability' instead of ideas and principles seems to me a reduction of your rights via rationalization.

No one will ever completely agree with every position that a candidate takes…as Sharon put it, 'there is no perfect candidate,' but I believe my vote should go to the candidate who comes closest to espousing the philosophy I share.

That brings me back to Duncan Hunter.

No, he won't be on the stage tonight in the South Carolina GOP Debate, and his name appears nowhere near the top of the polls…but he supported tax cuts, did a masterful job as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and stands for 'enforcement first' on illegal immigration.

That's why he'll get my vote and my support for as long as he is in it…even if he doesn't win it!"

As we all know, other candidates are getting credit for the positions they've taken that are identical to Duncan Hunter's.

Huckabee is the "man of faith".

Giuliani is the "anti-terrorism" candidate, by virtue of his high profile on 9/11.

Romney is the guy who can handle finances.

Fred is the Second Amendment champion.

But, Duncan Hunter is all of those and more!

So we've started asking a simple question to people we meet who say they're supporting one of these men.

"Where do your core beliefs come from?"

"Do the things you're passionate about, the things that are important to you, come from what's popular, or do they come from what is right?"

We don't wait for an answer. Those questions deserve to be asked and answered in the privacy of each man and woman's heart.

We're not supporting Duncan Hunter because he's the front-runner in

the race.

We're not supporting him because of how well he polls.

We're not supporting him because he's this week's media darling.

We're supporting him because he is right!

Help us help the right man for the job!

He's right on every issue we hold dear. If we're honest with ourselves, and if we think it's important to elect the right person this November, we need to ask ourselves and those around us: "Where do our core beliefs come from?"

The answer we come up with leads us to one candidate only. The complete conservative: Duncan Hunter.

Join us in our fight for what's right! Join the team of principles and true American values.

Duncan Hunter is still in the fight and refused to give up!

Help us make his commitment count!

HUNTER WINS NEVADA REPUBLICAN ASSEMBLY ENDORSEMENT

Hey All,

I was excited to hear that Hunter won the Nevada Republican Assembly endorsement. I hope that this helps Hunter do well in Nevada.

I hope and pray that the people of Nevada will vote on the issues and RECORDS and not on popularity. If we were voting on popularity, Britney Spears would should have been the president in the 90s (she might have been better than the president of that time...).
So lets vote of the positions that candidates now and what they have done CONSISTENTLY to prove their authenticy of those positions. And only Hunter can stand up to that test.

Hunter won that endorsement by over 2/3 of the vote. Lets hope he can win the caucus by that much..

GO HUNTER GO!
